A little about me...
Hi! I’m Ashlyn, the face behind New Dawn Birth Co. I’m a wife, a mama, and someone who has always loved the little moments that make life feel special.
I love photos that feel like real life. The laughs, the cuddles, the tiny details, and even a little bit of the chaos. I don’t think everything has to be perfectly planned or posed to be beautiful. Some of my favorite moments are the ones that just happen.
That’s what I want to give you through your photos — a way to look back and remember this season exactly as it felt.
My family is a huge part of who I am. I love spending time with my husband, our little girl, and our dog, Shadow. We love being outside, camping, hiking, exploring somewhere new, or just taking our time and enjoying the day together.
Some of my favorite days, though, are the really simple ones. Staying home, slowing down, and just enjoying being together. I’m happiest when I’m with the people I love, and I think that’s a big part of why photographing families means so much to me.
When you're in front of my camera, I want you to feel
comfortable just being you.
I know being in front of a camera can feel a little awkward at first, and that’s okay! You don’t have to know what to do, where to put your hands, or worry about your kids sitting still and smiling the whole time.
I’ll guide you when you need it, but I also want to give you room to just be together. Hold your baby, chase your toddler, laugh with your kids, love on your people. We’ll take our time, go with whatever happens, and capture your family in a way that feels natural to you.
There’s no pressure for everything to be perfect here.
Intimate.

The moments I photograph are some of the most personal and meaningful moments of your life. My hope is to document them honestly and beautifully, without taking you away from actually experiencing them.
The Heart behind what I do
More than anything, I want you to feel comfortable with me.
Whether I’m walking into your birth space, coming into your home during those first newborn days, or meeting your family for a session, I know I’m being invited into a really personal part of your life.
I want you to feel like you can relax and be yourself. You never have to worry about things going perfectly for me. Babies need breaks. Toddlers have their own plans. Births are unpredictable. That’s all okay. We’ll take things as they come, and I’ll be there to document it along the way.
I never want you to feel like I’m just showing up, taking your photos, and leaving. I genuinely care about the families I work with and want you to feel taken care of from the moment you reach out.
I’m always happy to answer questions, help you prepare, or change plans when life happens. And when the day comes, you don’t need to worry about making everything picture perfect. Just be there with the people you love. I’ll take care of capturing the rest.
I truly feel so lucky that families trust me with these moments, and I would love to tell a little piece of your story too.
